Here at Last Year’s Model, we aim to please! So here again are the same photos from the tour, with rotation corrections. We apologize for the previous error and have included a bonus photo of the sweet view from our new practice space, free of charge! Enjoy!

hello hello! yes, it is rainy and cold in nyc and we haven’t written anything in a while, but do not despair! many fun things are happening in the next two weeks, please take note:

ITEM 1: We are playing at the MERCURY LOUNGE on Tuesday, October 7th! “It’s about time!” you say? We totally agree! We’re going on at 6:30 p.m., which is just enough time for you to get out of work, have a nice romantic dinner, take a walk to the Mercury Lounge in the crisp autumn air, relax to some synth pop with a neat Jameson, & still get back home before your bedtime! ($8 for 5 bands! That’s like less than $2 a set! what a deal! We are up first, Levy, Hollands, In Cadeo, & Bellmer Dolls to follow).

ITEM 2: Naked Highway is playing Central Park next Saturday (10/4) at Poly Pride Day! Imagine, a party where you can high-five multiple non-exclusive strangers at once! Fun!

ITEM 3: The Falsies Oktoberfest is happening at Arlene’s Grocery next Thursday (10/2) – you’ll feel like just like you’re celebrating in Munich, in a basement, with your closest New York friends!

ITEM 4: Last Year’s Model is practicing at Complete Music this Saturday even though MODEL-002 has another wedding to go to in the evening! We will be perfecting our moves for the Mercury Lounge show for you! Also! We won’t be smoking during our breaks, so feel free to stop by and ask us for autographs. Our hands will be free!

ITEM 5: Robots are finally being put to good use! This one was spotted in Soho offering to “hold” peoples’ “hands” & “go for a walk”. Keep up the good work, robot brother! Soon, we all be able to live the spaceship-cruise life 24/7, just like in WALL-E! Can’t wait!!! <3 <3 <3

hello friends, it’s a slow month for us. MODEL 002 is traveling the galaxy and the rest of us are difficultly adhering to life in a human suit.

never fear, we are coming back very soon. we just confirmed a space for the november 1st halloween revival of RHYTHMBOX . . . more to come . . .

The M Room was so fun! Dr. Scientist was amazing & they tell great jokes too! For instance, what did the swimmers wear at the Olympics this year? Think about it & leave yr answer in the comments; I’ll tell you if you’re right tomorrow.

Also, I got a huge Dr. Scientist t-shirt with an elephant on it. Big animals are my favorite, especially vegetarian ones.

Today is Kate’s birthday! We are going to the M Room tonight to congratulate her on her fine aging process! We will also play some music with Void Vision, GenCAB, & Doctor Scientist.

Hello again!!  I have been in front of this computer for too long, but I wanted to share with you a couple pics from yesterdays block party!!  Model-002 organized the whole thing, which was a lot of work, so everyone should thank her.  For my party, I helped out a bit on the day of, but really I just showed up and played.  But it was such a great show!!  It started off with our good friends Bill Grady and Evan Neel both doing acoustic sets…Now normally I would never support acoustic sets, but then, Bill Grady and Evan Neel are both so radical!!!  Next came J’aime & I!!!  If you haven’ seen them, you really gotta.  kawaaaaiiii!!!  <3 <3 <3  j’aime & i totes stole my artificial heart!!!  Anyway, here’s a couple pics.  These pics are by Matt Occhuizzo not Evan Cairo (like everything else is)

So I’m doing my best to finish up with the tour pics and vids posting today. I MEAN OMG IT’S BEEN LIKE 2 WEEKS!!! LAZY LAZY LYM!!!! sorz…i’m doing my best but… I’M STILL SO TIRED!! and we had a block party yesterday. did you come? We performed with Bill Grady, Evan Neel and J’aime & I. It was really cool. So I hope you didn’t miss it…cuz throwing our own show is a ton of work and I doubt we’ll do it again anytime soon…we have to forget how much work it is before we do it again, okay?!

The show at Sarasota was a great show!!! The bar was really crowded even though it was a Tuesday night, and John and Jen (our hosts and party promoters) were the most gracious people!!! But I think MODEL-002 already posted about that, so just watch the video or die. <3 <3 (don’t really die : D okay!!)

So, I’ve finally got a little rest, so I’m gonna do my best to post some of the most perfecto moments of our tour for you!!! You’re welcome <3 <3

Tour was really a crazy time for us. It was only our second time touring and we had so many more shows back to back this time!!! Plus, I was losing my voice before I even left NYC!!! Terrible…so I had to quit smoking… which was really fun… but I feel so much better now and it is nice to be able to sing again. Let’s just say that by the end of tour the sets starting sounding a lot more hardcore from a vocal standpoint. Sorry vocal chords.

Also, did you know that if you look at pictures of your vocal chords it kinda looks like lady parts? It’s true!! I wouldn’t make it up. But I also wouldn’t have thought of it if it hadn’t been for this old weirdo lesbian who saw me looking at vocal health info and told me that she enjoyed my choice of internet viewing…and then I realized what she thought she was looking at. And I was really uncomfortable. Especially when she started playfully tickling me… I don’t like being touched. High fives are about as far as i go.

Anyhow, here’s some neato stuff for you to look at!!

This one is from our show in Gainesville.  This show was really cool and we were really looking forward to it as we had met Chris Miller on our last tour, and couldn’t wait to see all our friends in Gainesville again.  I can’t believe it has been a whole year!!  The stage we played on was huge and they had crazy lights and a fog machine.  Which is to say we were all blind after the show.  Plus, we played with this rad band called Yip Yip.  They were like aliens from another world (is that redundant?!) and I think you should check them out.

And here’s one of me from the same show.  I look at that and I think, “Gary Numan!!!”  It’s a good thought to have when you look at yourself.  You should try it.

Moving on, I wanted to post for you a video from my personal favorite show of the tour, our Chapel Hill show!!  Have you guys heard of +/-?  They are a really cool band.  You should find their myspace and listen to “Ballroom”.  It’s my favorite!!
