Where Devo, Polysics and New Order have left off, Last Year’s Model picks up the torch and blazes the way towards your sonic salvation.. Shooting forward while bouncing off the past, the band confines itself to a padded dance room (called NYC) populated by droids, humanoids and cartoon monsters. LYM filters the over stimulation for you and presents it in byte-sized chunks calibrated for your ears’ specifications. One part machine precision and one part nervous break-down, Last Year’s Model makes aggressive pop music for the commodore 64 inside the club inside your head.
