I can’t even begin to explain how very excited we are. I haven’t been to Lit in years! In preparation, we’ve been working really hard on some new rhythms & techniques! Here is some secret footage!

If you weren’t there — you missed quite a scene: Princess Falsie, The Last King (of multiple things), comedian Brian Elliott, and Dan Fridman were all there. You may have heard of them before! m/ If not, I assure you, they’re all wonderful, special people who you would probably really like. There were also some cute boys from Viet Cafe, a really hot girl with white-blond hair (which she claimed was purple) from Sweden, and a whole table of older guys who kept running up to -001 to ask him about the awesome music that was playing! Super fun!!!

And you could have gotten a business card! You’ll have to come next time!

Their music’s way too electronic and high energy for me (it actually goes great with the Jolt gum [Ed. note: 2 pieces of Jolt gum = 1 energy drink]) but I really dig their look.

-001 will be dj-ing at Lolita Bar this Wednesday! It’s very chill there, the drinks are pretty cheap, the bartender’s friendly, and -001 only plays the finest mix of hand-selected songs from his extensive new wave/synthpop collection. The fun starts at 8!

I hope you like the video b/c it is the most complex video I have made to date! Did you notice the keyboard? It’s a symbol of all the keyboard & synths in our music! I think the letterboxing improves the mood too. Dramatically.

In making this video, I really started to appreciate Dan & Will & Evan’s video skills even more! They showed us the rest of the footage of The Tank show last week. Their footage isn’t at all wobbly and blurry like mine. Even more importantly, everyone in the band looks really cool ^_^! I can’t wait to see the edited videos! P.S., Ignore how huge the shoes are! Doesn’t Dance Attack! sound amazing?! I had to buy the shoes a size larger because I was tired of looking for white pumps — even Janice was hunting around for me!

Isn’t 2009 is so much better than back in the day, when they had to record Slinkies to make laser sounds? Word. (Did you see the special feature on sound design on the Wall-E DVD too? So cool!!!)
